White Light Announce the White Light Wednesday Workshops

White Light to hold a series of open days, each covering a different area of modern lighting equipment and technology.

White Light have announced plans for a series of open days designed to allow anyone interested to drop in and learn more about different areas of modern theatre lighting technology. The White Light Wednesday Workshops will be held on Wednesday morning at the company's Fulham base.

Though the final line-up has yet to be confirmed, White Light intend the workshops to cover areas such as new lighting equipment, automated lighting technology, and modern lighting controllers, with different week's sessions focussing on products from different manufacturers. Visitors will be free to play with equipment, while representatives from White Light, The Moving Light Company and the equipment manufacturers will be on hand to answer questions.

Commenting on the plans, White Light's General Manager, Bryan Raven, said "though the workshops will be open to anyone, we primarily hope they will be of interest to students and technicians from smaller scale theatres, who might not get the opportunity to work with the latest technology on a regular basis". He added "though White Light will, as always, welcome visitors at any time, the Wednesday Workshops will ensure that equipment and people will be gathered together in one place at a set time, ready to offer advice and swap stories over a cup of coffee!"

Details of the Workshops can be obtained by calling White Light on 020 7731 3291, or visiting their Web site at http://www.whitelight.ltd.uk. Alternatively, visitors can just drop in to White Light at 57 Filmer Road, near Parsons Green Tube, after 10am on a Wednesday morning.
