White Light: Lighting Fosse Style
White Light and The Moving Light Company selected as the lighting suppliers for the London production of the hit Broadway musical Fosse

FosseFosse at the Prince of Wales Theatre White Light, the UK's leading entertainment lighting hire company, is delighted to announce its appointment as the lighting supplier for the London production of the hit Broadway musical Fosse. White Light Group member The Moving Light Company will supply automated lighting equipment to the production.

A celebration of the work of legendary Broadway choreographer Bob Fosse, Fosse opened to critical acclaim on Broadway last year - and won lighting designer Andrew Bridge his third Tony Award for Best Lighting. Bridge also won Tony Awards for his work on Phantom of the Opera and Sunset Boulevard.

For the London production, which opens at the Prince of Wales Theatre in February, Bridge is re-creating his award winning design with a rig that includes nineteen High End StudioColors, nine Martin MAC500s, five DHA Digital Light Curtains and a conventional rig composed largely of ETC Source Fours, all controlled from a 1500 channel ETC Obsession console. This particular console is very familiar with London transfers of hit American show having already run the London productions of Tommy and Rent!

Assisting Bridge with the London transfer of the show will be his US associate lighting designer Vivien Leone as well as production electrician Fraser Hall and moving light technician Chris Dunford. The production manager for the show is Richard Bullimore, and the show is being produced in the UK by Pola Jones.

Fosse will be the second Tony-award winning lighting rig for a Bob Fosse-inspired show supplied concurrently by White Light: the company's equipment is also in use on Ken Billington's design for Chicago at the Adelphi Theatre. More bizarely, two numbers from Chicago feature in Fosse - giving the peculiar situation of one dance being performed in two theatres by two different groups of dancers simultaneously!
