White Light recently took delivery of the first four Robert Juliat Cyrano Followspots off the production line. The Cyranos were then immediately delivered to the Royal Albert Hall in London where they will be permanently based as part of a long-term arrangement hire between Royal Albert Hall and White Light.

As part of the deal the Hall's staff received training from Robert Juliat's representative in the UK, Tom Mannings of Decoupe.

One of the first shows to use the Cyrano spots was the Mountbatten Festival, where the rest of the largely automated rig was supplied by White Light's sister company, The Moving Light Company.

The rig for the Mountbatten Festival included 17 High End Studiocolors and 30 Martin MAC 500 and 250 luminaires. Time on site was at a premium, so the lighting design team was able to make use of the WYSIWYG suite at the Moving Light Company, enabling them to arrive at the Hall with most of the show plotted. WYSIWYG renders and actual looks from the show can be seen on the MLC website, www.moving-light.co.uk.

The Cyrano Followspot is a new addition to the range of RJ Followspots which White Light already own. This includes over twenty Margots, Aramis, Korrigan and Foxie Followspots. The Cyrano has been designed specifically for the larger venues such as the Royal Albert Hall.
