The White Light Group enjoyed a successful LDI 2000 exhibition, with White Light, White Light USA and the Group's architectural lighting division Enliten teaming up on stand 3243 at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas.

Attracting particular attention was the Enliten Exhibition Par, a 575W MSR version of the ETC Source Four Par. The Exhibition Par has already proved popular with lighting designers, with General Motors purchasing around one thousand of the units for their touring motor show exhibition stand; at LDI two Exhibition Pars provided Enliten with possibly the brightest flown banner at the show!

Enliten were also showing their 150W HID Source Four Pars, which were lighting the White Light stand and surprised the Convention Center's crew both with their brightness and with the number that could be ganged together on a relatively small electrical supply - both things making them the perfect choice for lighting exactly this type of exhibition stand! The stand also featured the 150W HID Source Four profile, the Callisto weatherproof profile spotlight as well as White Light's ever-popular VSFX and WaveFX optical effects, the VSFX being demonstrated with a Source Four Par as a lightsource using the Par adapter plate available from White Light.

Staff from the Group also took time away from the stand to scour the exhibition floor for new products that might be of use to British lighting designers and electricians - and received sneak previews of new products from a number of manufacturers that will hit the UK soon. "As well as letting us show our products to the American market, LDI allows us catch up with all that's new in the American lighting industry, particularly with innovative products from companies that might be too small to travel to Europe for the PLASA Show," explained White Light's General Manager, Bryan Raven. "It's also an excellent meeting point for the world," he noted, recalling encounters with friends and customers ranging from New York based lighting designer Don Holder (Tony award winner for The Lion King, with whom White Light collaborated on the Earth Centre in Doncaster) to the contingents from Chameleon Touring Systems and Bytecraft in Australia, enjoying a post-Olympics high!

As the new products discovered or previewed in Las Vegas become available, details will be posted on the White Light web site at www.whitelight.ltd.uk; for those who weren't at LDI, full details of Enliten's products can be found at their web site, www.enliten.co.uk, or by calling 07000 365483.

Next year's LDI runs from November 2nd to 4th 2001 in Orlando.
