What You See Is What You Get...
With The Moving Light Company and Modelbox
The Moving Light Company appointed as an Authorised WYSIWYG Service Provider - but with a unique bonus courtesy of CAD specialists Modelbox!
| The Moving Light Company is delighted to announce that it has been appointed as an Authorised WYSIWYG Service Provider by CAST Lighting, the manufacturer of the popular WYSIWYG lighting visualisation software. The Moving Light Company now have three WYSIWYG systems up, running and available for show pre-programing.
The Moving Light Company also offer a unique advantage over other WYSIWYG Service Providers: access to the CAD venue database of fellow White Light Group member Modelbox. A pioneer in the use of computer aided design for theatre, Modelbox's comprehensive database has been built up over more than ten years and includes most venues in the UK and many others around the world. The collaboration between The Moving Light Company and Modelbox means that one of the biggest drawbacks of using WYSIWYG - that the show is programmed in a black box rather than in a virtual version of the actual venue, unless someone is prepared to invest a great deal of time in drawing the venue from scratch - is easily overcome. The venue plan can simply be accessed at Modelbox and included in the showfile set up in WYSIWYG ready for quick, accurate show programming. Shows can then be programmed using any of the lighting desks available in The Moving Light Company's comprehensive stock, which includes most members of the Whole Hog family. Further information about collaboration between The Moving Light Company and Modelbox to allow you to see the show before you really 'do' it can be found at the new website, www.IWantToSeeItFirst.com! And for users who need to see the lights for real, The Moving Light Company have recently completed the construction of a new 'black box' demonstration room, taking full advantage of the extra space available to them following their move to new premises earlier in the year. The demonstration room will allow lighting designers to compare products from the wide range stocked by MLCo, which includes Martin MAC500s, MAC600s and PAL1200s, High End StudioColors and Cyberlights, DHA Digital Light Curtains and Digital Beamlights, City Theatrical AutoYokes, Strand Pirouettes and many more. Real lights or virtual lighting: The Moving Light Company are the people to call!
