White LightRSVP ShoowWhite LightCentre Stage at RSVPRSVP Show Mid-February 2002 saw the launch of a new trade show: RSVP, "Brilliant ideas for Parties, Awards, Launches and Lunches" - and of a new division of the White Light Group: White Light Events.

Organised by Single Market Events, RSVP took place over two days at the Business Design Centre in Islington, with exhibitors arranged around a Centre Stage performance area that played host to over a dozen speciality acts during the course of the show.

Designed by Michael Woodage from an original design by Sean Kavanagh, the Centre Stage was build and produced by The Full Effect and featured spectacular lighting designed by Mike Robertson of White Light Events. The lighting equipment was supplied by White Light Group members The Moving Light Company, Colourhouse and White Light, with Robertson using a range of equipment including Martin Mac500s and Mac600s controlled from a Jands Hog console to give the Centre Stage an constantly changing look to suit each performance.

White Light also had a stand at the show, using it to introduce the new literature promoting the White Light Events division, whose projects have already including lighting the Tower of London for the English Tourist Board, and the Christmas Ice Rink at Somerset House in London. White Light Events received "hundreds of inquiries and dozens of firm meetings and invitations to tender for projects," according to White Light's General Manager, Bryan Raven, commenting that the RSVP had been a great success with over three thousand visitors.

Further information about White Light Events can be obtained by calling 020 8254 4820, faxing 020 8254 4821, emailing events@whitelightgroup.co.uk, or here on the website.
