White Light Helps The Funny Women At The Palace
White Light and The Moving Light Company help out with a charity concert at the Palace Theatre
| When the organisers behind Funny Women, a comedy gala held recently in aid of the Breast Cancer Care and Breast Cancer Campaign charities were looking for lighting equipment for the show it was to White Light that they turned - and the company was delighted to be able to help.
With the show held at the Palace Theatre in London in October as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, lighting designer Jason Taylor based his design on the existing rig for Les Misérables, which has occupied the theatre for the last eighteen years but which was updated with DHA Digital Light Curtains and Rainbow colour scrollers five years ago. For the concert, The Moving Light Company supplied automated lanterns while White Light supplied additional PAR cans and a Strand 520i console to control the entire rig. Performing beneath the lights were a collection of Britain's funniest ladies, including Maureen Lipman, Jenny Eclair, Jane Horrocks, Prunella Scales and many others - with the evening judged to have been a great success! |
