The new year sees both new names and new roles for familiar faces at White Light, the leading entertainment lighting supplier.

One familiar name is Dave Isherwood, who steps into the role of Hire Director vacated by Mike Crossman last year. Dave has been with White Light for fifteen years, the last seven of these spent running The Moving Light Company, the White Light Group's hugely successful automated lighting division. In his new role of Hire & Technical Director he will oversee all hires for both White Light and The Moving Light Company.

"We don't want to rush into replacing Mike Crossman who left us to travel the world, as he is a hard act to follow." comments the White Light Group's General Manager, Bryan Raven. "Those who have worked with Dave when renting from The Moving Light Company know that his main priority is helping customers get the show on, whether supplying a rig as specified or suggesting the best equipment for their needs and budget; that approach will continue unchanged."

Supporting Dave Isherwood is a newly enlarged hire team, with Bryan Kelly and Alma Christopher joining White Light. Bryan Kelly will be concentrating on dry hire projects as Assistant Hire Manager, working alongside Claire Gilligan, Jedd Hamilton and Jonathan Wilson. Alma Christopher will be supporting Phil Gladman and Jon Coventry at White Light Events and Steve Bartlett at Colourhouse, as Assistant Project Coordinator.

There is also a new name at The Moving Light Company, with Marc Erhardt assuming the role of Workshop Manager following the departure of Alex Murphy, who has joined the lighting department at the Royal National Theatre to try life on the other side of the industry!

One other familiar figure from White Light Hire is also taking on a new role - this one involving moving slightly further than just across the office! White Light Hire Manager Jane Townsend is re-locating to White Light North in Sowerby Bridge, where she will join the rest of John Anderton's team supplying equipment to projects in the north of England and Scotland.

Further information about White Light's staff can be found here on the website.
