Leading entertainment lighting supplier White Light will be at the PLASA Show once again this year, showing new products from many of the companies for which it is the exclusive UK distributor as well as its own Digital Festoon System, a winner of a PLASA Award For Innovation at last year's show.

In order to demonstrate its full potential, the Digital Festoon System - a radical re-think of conventional festoon lighting that allows each lamp along a festoon's length to be individually dimmed without the aid of external dimmers - will be put through its paces in a two square metre demonstration rig featuring a twenty-seven by twenty-seven square grid of bulbs - 729 in total. The arrangement will show some of the many dramatic possibilities offered by what, at first glance, appears to be just a collection of light bulbs....

Alongside DFS, White Light will be showing the new White Light Smart Touring Rack, a successor to the long-established White Light/Arri 48-way touring racks. The new racks are designed to provide the versatility required by touring rigs that increasingly mix conventional and automated lighting: each rack contains four twelve-way modules, with each module either a twelve way ETC SmartPack dimmer module or a twelve-way MCB power module. Ouput goes through a patch bay to sixteen multicore outlets that can be either Socapex or Lectriflex as required. The new racks are already proving popular, with four out on the ongoing touring production of Grease.

Elsewhere on the stand will be new products from other manufacturers which White Light distributes in the UK. These will include the new Super Korrigan, an improved version of the ever-popular Korrigan with increased light output,. and Lutin 1000W PC lantern, and the Espion 2 DMX tester from Robert Juliat (with the Espion available with a 30% discount when ordered on-stand at the show), the new Unique II haze machine plus Orka and Tiny Fogger smoke machines from Look Solutions, the latter as seen in the new Batman movie, the Side Kick faderboard and FocusHand and Focus Brain remote control units from ELC plus products from The Smoke Factory and colour changers from Rainbow.

All of these products will, of course, be accompanied by staff from White Light happy to discuss every area of the company's work, including lighting hire, sales, installation and service and well as lighting for events and corporate productions. And all such discussions can take place in the relaxed atmosphere of White Light's ever-popular on-stand bar!

The 2005 PLASA Show runs from September 11th-14th at Earl's Court in London. Further details about the show can be found at www.plasashow.com. Further information about White Light can be found elsewhere on this website - or on stand G25, just inside the main doors to the show.
